AmericanACHE (American Accreditation Council for Higher Education) was created with the purpose of setting a precedent for the review of online educational courses and material review. Ensuring that online courses and testing programs are based on best teaching practices is one of our highest requirements in order to receive and maintain membership. AmericanACHE endorsement serves as a public affirmation of an educational program or curriculum that provides the level of integrity that meets our requirements.

AmericanACHE membership requires that the organization or developer of an online course or educational material submit a report documenting compliance and proof that it follows best practices in that particular online sector. The AmericanACHE survey group will then review the website, report and course or education material and thoroughly verify if indeed the applicant should be granted endorsement. If endorsement is rendered to the applicant, they will then receive membership for a period of 3 years. In order to continue endorsement once initial membership has expired, the organization or developer will be required to submit a new updated compliance report for review.

The survey group of AmericanACHE applies strict review methods of applicant’s compliance report and website programs. Often, an applicant can be chosen based on the experience a single AmericanACHE member has while evaluating the online course or curriculum and best practices based on current, accredited or state-sponsored offline providers in that particular education sector.

The prime intention of AmericanACHE is to increase the opportunity of motivated individuals who are looking for an alternative to obtain their certification or training online. AmericanACHE reviews each applicant on an individual case basis. The review process may take up to 180 days before an applicant receives a response on their membership status. There is no fee requirement for review of an applicant's compliance report and website program or curriculum. Each applicant will receive a response from a member of the survey group of AmericanACHE.
